Hey there. Wanna get faster? In Running that is? Try Fartlek Training.

During your run, pick up the pace for 40 sec. to a min., go at 70%.

Then bring it back down for couple of minutes. Do several of these intervals.

Running in the city? Don’t carry a watch? Pick a light pole and pick your pace up from one light to the next, then slow it down for two poles. Repeat.

Running in the country? Try using trees and bushes, haystacks, that cow and his pile of hoo-hoo, whatever.

Why? Benefits to varying your speed during these intervals works both your aerobic and anaerobic systems. Great for casual runners and those in sports that involve running like Rugby, football,  Bball & guys like these….
